Gony Black Bird
Gony Zubizarreta and Nick Uricchio have put a lot of time and effort into developing this model. Gony’s growth as a pro-surfer has been exciting and fulfilling for Semente. His constant feedback has led to a lot of fine tuning in his model. Recently we have played with the outline and rocker line in front and behind the wide point, combined with a slight change in the concave placement to increase speed and enhance a more continuous feeling in and out of all maneuvers. This model is where we are now. Width and floatation have been increased to accommodate Gony’s size and power. Rails are low and semi boxy and stand up in the last part of the board for sharp, fast surfing. The bottom is single concave feeding in to a release tail. Gony prefers squash tails up to 6’1’’ then usually jumps on a roundish pin. Swallows are also available. Looking to up your game? Here’s your chance!
