Marlon Model
Marlon Lipke’s surfing is all about power. His model came to be mixing up our original F.L.T. Model with Marlon’s normal shortboard. We came up with one of the best small to mid-range wave boards Marlon has ever surfed. The outline is full all the way through, with a bit of accentuation on a forward hip. The tail is drawn in with a soft bump wing to reduce the area in the last 12”. We run a super low rocker line on this model with a slight flip in the nose. The concave line is extreme with a solid single concave starting 12” down and running to its deepest point right before the fin area where it changes to double concave. The tail fades into vee to loosen it up and give us an increased curve on the rail line. Recently we have thinned the nose and tail a hair to increase sharpness. Rails are full and the board in general is beefy. Great step down board for big boys. Surf it from 1 to 5 foot surf.
